2017 Sanlam Portrait Award Top 100 finalist Robyn Pretorius was selected as ‘Gallery Committee Favourite’ of that year and will be presenting a solo exhibition alongside winner Kate Arthur and the Top 40 finalists.

‘Unfolded’ is a body of work that serves as a celebration of identity and creative expression. Pretorius’s aim is to convey and acknowledge and honour diversity and identity through her visual interpretation and storytelling. Her paintings can be seen as a fusion of photorealism, traditional painting techniques and contemporary street art.
