Winner of the Sanlam Portrait Award 2017, Kate Arthur, presents a body of work titled ‘In the Flesh’.
Arthur, an artist currently residing and working in Cape Town, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rhodes University in 2007 and works predominantly in mediums of painting, drawing and printmaking. She is interested in portraiture, identity and representations of the body; predominantly creating work that challenges narratives around gender and sexuality.
Various art classes given by independent tutors. These include Drawing, Painting and Etching.
These classes are designed to encourage interaction between students, tutors, artists and others to create a vibrant ambiance.
